• This visa is typically valid for a period of 6 months, but in some cases, it may be issued as a multiple-entry visa for up to 10 years.
• In order to apply for a B2 visa, you must be able to convince US consular officials at a US embassy or consulate that you do not have the intention of immigrating to the US and that you have strong ties to your home country that will ensure you return after your visit
• You will also need to provide evidence of your intentions to return, such as proof of funds and letters supporting your reason for visiting the US
• You will need to schedule appointments for biometric fingerprinting and a visa interview, although children under 14 and adults over 80 may be exempt from the interview requirement
• If you have previously held a US visit visa and are now applying for renewal, you may be able to get your visa renewed by scheduling an appointment at a visa application center and submitting your documents in person
