Schengen Visa

The Schengen visa is a type of temporary visa that allows non-European citizens to visit countries in the Schengen zone in Europe for a period of up to 90 days within a six-month period. This visa is suitable for those who are planning to travel to Europe for leisure or to visit friends and family. Travel Zone can assist with the application process for a Schengen visa.

The countries that are part of the Schengen zone include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

You should apply for the visa through the embassy of the country you are visiting or the country where you will spend the most time, or the first country you will enter if you will spend equal amounts of time in all countries. The processing time for a Schengen visa is usually two weeks or less, but this may vary depending on the embassy. You do not need to apply for a separate visa for each country in the Schengen zone.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for a Schengen visa-

1.  You must be a citizen of a non-European country that is not part of the European Union
2. You must also provide a valid reason for your travel and show that your trip is temporary
3. Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the date of your visa application, and you must have a minimum of €30,000 in medical insurance.

To apply for a Schengen visa, you will need to submit a number of documents-

• A valid passport,
• A completed Schengen visa application form
• Details of your travel itinerary including the countries you plan to visit
• Your accommodation and flight arrangements
• Evidence of financial sufficiency
• Proof of your employment or student status to show that you will not be staying in Europe permanently
• Eevidence of adequate health insurance.
