By Train and Taxi:

  • Take a train from Varanasi Junction to Malipur and after reaching Malipur hire a taxi to cover the remaining distance to Sagar Island also known as Ganga Sagar.

Kolkata To Ganga Sagar Distance: The distance between Kolkata to Ganga Sagar depends on the routes you take but there are two main routes.

  1. Via NH12: This route is known as the shortest route and very popular route that takes around 4 hours and the distance is 120km Approx.
  2. NH12 and Rudra Nagar: Jibantala Road: - This route is known as a little bit longer than the previous route and takes around more than 5 hours with 135 Kilometres Approx.
