Varanasi to Ayodhya - Distance 250 km - The next day, after breakfast, we proceeded to Ayodhya. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is believed to be the birthplace of Rama, the seventh avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu. According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama's birthplace is on the banks of the Sarayu River in Ayodhya. Our sightseeing included visits to Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi Mandir, Kanak Bhawan, Shri Ram Janam Bhumi Nyas, Hari Darshan Bhajan Mandal, and the Saryu River for a bath.
There is no entrance fee for the temple. However, if you plan to perform rituals in your name, tickets must be purchased. Buying flowers for the deity from nearby shops is a common practice but not mandatory. Donations to the priest or contributions to the hundi are also not compulsory.
Departure - Afterwards, you will be either dropped back at your hotel or taken to the airport or railway station, as per your request.
