Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was won over by the beauty of Dalhousie, a
famous tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh, so much so, that he stayed here for many
months in 1937. Today, he has two places named after him - Subhash Baoli and Subhash
Chowk. The hill station has the same effect on tourists today, with its waterfalls, rivers
making their way through mountains, dense forest trails that run parallel to enormous cliffs
with grand views of Dauladhar range in the distance and a couple of churches that were
built during the British Raj.

The route to Kalatop is via Lakkarmandi, which is another famous spot in Dalhousie, known for its Dhogri family population, who make charcoal for a living. Kalatop is an amazing place and it can be best visited in the months between September and April.
The Chamera is an artificial lake, which is surrounded by beautiful green trees and exquisite valleys. It gives way to various water sports activities such as boat riding and fishing and is a part of the Chamera Hydroelectric project that is built over the Ravi River. This lake is located at an altitude of 763 meters above the sea surface and can be accessed from Chamba district, which is only 25 to 35 km from the main market of Dalhousie. The lake offers irrigation facilities to the villagers, who live in and around the Chamera Lake area. Anyone visiting the Chamba Valley or Dalhousie, must visit this spectacular lake, which is surrounded by so many beautiful pine trees and lustrous valleys.

Being situated at 2035 meters over the ocean level, the Satdhara waterfall proffers a tranquil environment and wonderful climate to all its visitors. The term Satdhara signifies 'a blend of seven streams'. The water from this waterfall is said have medicinal properties and healing powers.
